8 Tips to Get the Best Deals on 11.11 Singles’ Day Sale

It’s 11/11 tomorrow! While a lot of people are anticipating to score huge deals on online sales happening tomorrow, it is fun to know that 11/11 is actually Singles’ Day for all the single people out day!

The Singles’ Day is an “unofficial” holiday that is said to originate in China and is being celebrated throughout Asia. This is also a “big day” for the shopaholic because online stores offer their best sale deals on this day. If you are single and want to spoil yourself a little, this might be the best day for you to make your dream purchases.

Almost all brands are all on sale on 11/11 plus it is also the best time to buy gifts because Christmas is just around the corner. However, it is good to note that we are still in a pandemic and we have to spend wisely. So if you want to save further, you may want to take a look at some of the tips below to help you get the best 11/11 deals. Read on.

1. Add to cart. Online shopping is therapeutic especially for the moms who have been staying and working from home since the community quarantine. If you are eyeing a particular product, make sure to add them to your cart in advance to help you narrow down your choices and see discounted prices upfront when you check on them during the sale period. There is also a huge chance you will receive an email from the store reminding you of the items in your cart with an additional discount or free shipping coupon to encourage you to check out.

2. Scout for vouchers. Lazada, Shopee, and Zalora have the best vouchers. Regularly check their app on sitewide vouchers that you can use on almost all the brands available on their site. Make sure to read the terms and conditions carefully because some require a minimum purchase.

3. Check for the latest credit card or virtual wallet promotions. During sales, Mastercard and Visa give huge discounts to encourage consumers to buy. Check on the latest promos on your credit card’s websites to check if there are good deals. Virtual wallets like Gcash and Pay Maya offer discounts too when you use them as the payment method when checking out.

4. Keep track of the discount hour. Different discounts and deals are offered at various hours. Make sure to check on it on your favorite e-commerce store to know when the items you are eyeing will be on sale. Note that there might be a separate time from sales of beauty products, baby and kids’ needs, gadgets, or apparel. It is also best to do your checkout at midnight of 11/11 to get first dibs on some of the best deals.

5. Use cashback apps. You can also take advantage of shopback or cashback apps when shopping online. These apps will allow you to open the merchant’s site via their apps. They will then track your purchases and credit a portion back to your account, depending on the amount you’ve spent. You can withdraw these cashback to your bank account or virtual wallet.

6. Do a price comparison. Check which among the online shops offer the best deals. Some items are cheaper in Lazada for example than in Shopee and vice versa. Some offer free shipping. Go to the site where you can save the most.

7. Follow your favorite brands and shopping sites on social media. Most brands will give teaser posts on their upcoming sales. Stay updated by following them on their social media pages.

8.Bonus Tip: Buy only what you need. It is easy to get overwhelmed when shopping especially when there are a lot of choices available at a discounted rate. Make sure to plan ahead and buy only what you need. It takes a lot of time to master the art of online shopping. And those who already managed to get there saved a lot more because they know what to buy. They don’t get swayed easily by deals or vouchers especially when they don’t really need the item. Make sure to shop and use the sale as an opportunity to buy the things you really need.

Where to buy mom and baby products during ECQ

It’s official! The Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon has been extended till April 30, 2020. That means we are going to stay home longer. Of course, that is more than fine. A lot of mommies and daddies would prefer to stay at home even after the quarantine is lifted and we are going to rely a lot on online deliveries for our essential needs like food and toiletries. But since malls are closed and logistic operations of most shops online are suspended, it is more difficult to buy other things that are equally important like mom and baby products.

Even before the community quarantine was announced, my husband and I have been stocking up on essential items because we were already “sensing” it (but we’re not hoarding. Just what we needed for a week) but I was so pre-occupied and paranoid on other things that I forgot about our daughters’ essentials. Good thing that there are still a lot of online mom and baby shops that decided to operate even on limited resources and manpower. To help mommies out there, I’ve compiled a list of online mommy and baby shops that still deliver during the ECQ. Read on.

Baby and Kids Basics

1. Human Nature.

My favorites from Human Nature. The Natural Baby Wash improved my youngest daughter’s dry skin and we use the rescue balm to comfort and prevent darkening of mosquito bites .

You can buy your all-natural baby and kids’ body wash, lotion, nappy cream, rashes cream, powder, liquid detergent, baby bottle cleaner, and even baby cloth diapers here. They deliver via LBC but some areas are undeliverable because there are barangays that impose “strict” quarantine. You may find a list of those areas on their Facebook page.

2. Nature to Nurture.

I’ve been using this for almost 3 years now not just for baby bottles but to clean our fruits and vegetables as well.

Running out of cleaning essentials? Order baby-friendly cleaners here. They have everything from detergent, gentle bottle cleaner and accessories, hand soap, hand sanitizers, and baby oral care products. Their products plant-based, and free from parabens and other nasty chemicals.

3. Urbanmom.

This is your ultimate one-stop-shop for all your mommy and baby needs. They have everything from clothes, maternity and nursing essentials, cleaning products, educational toys, and a lot more. The store is currently accepting orders through their Facebook, Instagram, and Website and items are for pick-up only via Grab or Lalamove so as long as your within Metro Manila, you can still place your orders. You have to pay in advance for your orders of course.

Mommy Goodies

1. Mother Nurture.

Breastfeeding mommies are absolutely familiar with Mother Nurture’s Malunggay coffee and choco mixes. They’re made with natural ingredients and are FDA approved and they taste really good too! My personal favorite is the choco mix! The main shop is closed but on their Instagram, they have a list of authorized re-sellers that can deliver. Stock up on these goodies, mommies! They’re perfect for breakfast and snacks.

2. Milking Bombs.

Another good news! It’s still business as usual for the Milking Bombs team and you can still have your favorite lactation desserts delivered right at your doorstep if you’re from Metro Manila, including areas of Rizal (Antipolo, Cainta, and Taytay). You can order and pay online in advance.

Toys

1. Toytinkr.

My recent Toytinkr purchase (Bought the tables and chairs from Happy Kiddos PH. See next item).

School’s out and for safety reasons, we are all staying indoors with our kids. On our part, we don’t even let them play in the common playground near our home. We do try to have our morning sunshine fix once in a while but that’s it. We were able to buy some activity books during the Big Bad Wolf sale but one month into quarantine and we were able to use all of those. Seriously. Thank goodness for Toytinkr, I was able to order educational toys and activities for my kids. They are still accepting orders everyday, for pick-up via Grab or Lalamove. Check out their Facebook page!

2. Happy Kiddos PH

Looking for Scandi inspired kids’ furniture like study tables and bookshelves? This store delivers within Metro Manila. These are perfect if you are trying to de-clutter during the quarantine period!
